Email #13: The Specialist Next Door!

Dear <firstname> ,

When people talk about looking for
an outsourced contractor to do the
job for them, they usually talk about
online sites where you can find writers,
designers and programmers from around
the globe.

Fair enough, but did you ever stop to
think that you needn't go that far- your
next contractor for that graphic design or
writer's job could be 2 mins walk from your
house!

There will be people who are unemployed
or looking for a bit of extra income where
you live. Example: stay-at-home mums,
retirees, students, the list goes on.

Advertise either in local newspapers or
maybe Craig's List. Never, ever take advantage
of these people. Pay them a decent rate.

Even the lady next door neighbor with four kids
can help if she's got a computer. Maybe she could
do simple things like directory or article submissions
or answer your support emails. It's so convenient
because if there are issues with work she can come
and bang on your door or give you a call.

In fact communicating with someone face to face is
the best deal. You can work with people around your
area as well as your online contractors.

The biggest advantage of face to face contact is
understanding. You can use illustrations, gestures
and they understand the big picture better then trying
to explain it over an email to someone thousands of
miles away.

To your successful outsourcing,
